Consonance 5th Anniversary Concert!!!

Wow! After the church anniversary celebration, I rushed down to Victoria Concert Hall for another celebration. It was Consonance's 5th anniversary concert, FIVE. FIVE was the first attempt of a full concert by Consonance eversince its inception 5 years ago but a group of crazy, fun-loving and aspirated choir fanatics! (my sister was one of them!) (me also.. heh heh..)

I was rather excited cos I haven't seen it or heard it sing for some time. I was late for nearly 20min. But the feeling was rather homely when I saw my old friends at the door doing ushering. This time I came to the concert alone but the feeling was good. At intermission, I found more people!! Kaixuan, Lixia, Huishih, Xiaoqi, Weisi, Wenya and Yunwei!!! (hmm.. all girls.. what happened to the guys??) Later I saw Jennifer as well. Jennifer was my senior and chairman when I was still in JC. We were in Buen Sonido together as well.

Really impressed by the passion of singing by the choir. Many of the singers tonight were the pioneers who used to have meetings at Ang Mo Kio KFC! The singing was good, though I was expecting something more, perhaps a bit too much. However nonetheless, you are one of the best choirs to me!!!

Well the best part of the Concert was right at the end when Xianghong proposed to Yanhong on the stage! Kudos to you man.. never thought that you would do this.. hmm a bit drama rama cliche BUT you've got Yanhong's hand!! Congratulations! Hope to hear good news from you soon!

Thank you Consonance. Thank you Wenquan (most faithful dedicated member since NYJC), Deqiang (for taking over and building up the choir), Benedict (for your passion and dedication that the choir manage to survive the "dark ages"), Gregory (for your professionalism and friendship to Consonance) and all present and former Consonancians!

I thank God that I can share part of your history. Its been a privilege.

Hope Church Singapore celebrates 15th Birthday!!!!

Okay, finally my Coffeeshop has re-opened after slightly more than a year of silence.

Hmm... today the Church celebrates its 15th Anniversary at Expo! HISTORY MAKER! Wow! Its a great occasion where everyone from all congregation can come together to celebrate this Birthday Party! Haven't had such an amazing crowd of cooperate worship for some time ever since the last combine church camp more than a year ago. There is a time tunnel with photos and videos from the past 14 years when the church started out with just 5 people in 1991. "..no money, no building, no members, just 5 fresh graduates with a common vision to build a church.. " quoted Pastor Ben.

And when I saw the decorations I really see the dedication and hardwork put up by the volunteers over the past many days. The night before i was at Expo to help out, and i could really feel the stress coming from everyone cos there were alot of work left to be completed. But today, wow! it was fantastic! everything was up and nicely in placed! Praise God!!!

It's been truly a blessing from God that He placed me in this family 6 years ago. Even though many times I had thoughts about going to another church for a change of environment, but thanks Jesus that he holds me back. I never regretted staying cos it has help me alot in my growth as a young adult. I have many good friends and wonderful mentors who taught me the ways of God through their life examples. This is the best form of discipleship. I remember Pastor Jeff used to say "the Bible has many versions, but the best version is the one you live out in your life!"

In Hope, I have experienced love and genuine friendship. I know that such experience of love can only come from the love for God. His love overflows from the lives of people. I wanna say a big thank you to everyone who had helped me, encouraged me, supported me and tolerated with me for the past 6 years. Definitely the biggest thank you go GOD! Thank you for all your patience, love and friendship. I found the love of God in you all!

Specials thanks to NUS A2, my caregroup. Michelle, Zhen Zhong, Jeffery, Xinying, Weiling, Changjie, Huifang, Ashleigh, Mich Yeoh, Phaedre and Jinlu! I really love the presence and support from all of you. Let's us run together in this life-long race in God!
